Talking about Islam with non-muslims 16_125

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided. (16:125)

Tafseer Ibn Kathir says in it's tafseer of this verse:

The Command to invite people to Allah with Wisdom and Good Preaching

Allah commands His Messenger Muhammad to invite the people to Allah with Hikmah (wisdom). Ibn Jarir said: "That is what was revealed to him from the Book and the Sunnah.''

(and fair preaching) meaning, with exhortation and stories of the events that happened to people that are mentioned in the Qur'an, which he is to tell them about in order to warn them of the punishment of Allah.

(and argue with them with that which is best.) meaning, if any of them want to debate and argue, then let that be in the best manner, with kindness, gentleness and good speech, as Allah says elsewhere:

﴿وَلاَ تُجَـدِلُواْ أَهْلَ الْكِتَـبِ إِلاَّ بِالَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنْهُمْ﴾

(And do not argue with the People of the Book, unless it be with that which is best, except for those who purposefully do wrong.) ﴿29:46﴾ Allah commanded him to speak gently, as He commanded Musa and Harun to do when he sent them to Pharaoh, as He said:

﴿فَقُولاَ لَهُ قَوْلاً لَّيِّناً لَّعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَى ﴾

(And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear (Allah))(20: 44).

(Truly, your Lord best knows who has strayed from His path,) meaning, Allah already knows who is doomed (destined for Hell) and who is blessed (destined for Paradise). This has already been written with Him and the matter is finished, so call them to Allah, but do not exhaust yourself with regret over those who go astray, for it is not your task to guide them. You are just a warner, and all you have to do is convey the Message, and it is He Who will bring them to account.

(You cannot guide whom you love) ﴿28:56﴾

(It is not up to you to guide them, but Allah guides whom He wills.) ﴿2:72﴾

Islam will never change, as Christians etc have been doing to what they personally should think is acceptable or not.

God has already provided the message of there is one God, the Day of Judgement and Paradise and Hell. This is a requirement of showing how good a person is. Unfortunately today people would rather say that ie;-

1. As they liked a singer's songs, or an actor's films they would like to say that they are "good" people. Even to the extent of saying that if they are homosexual, if they are being nice, they don't wish to even say that they are going to Hell if they don't repent. God is testing you on what you side with, we are not asking for people to beat up anyone, but that you should have disapproval of a person's wrong doings.

2. Even there are those that have committed dreadful crimes, but because their son etc have been kind to them, their Mother for example would say that they are a "good" boy.

3. They say because they are being nice to me, or that they have made good friends who are homosexuals, they refuse to accept Islam. So basically they are saying because people are being nice to them instead of accepting God, the Creator of the Universe it means more to them then telling people not to go to the fires of Hell.

God never said because an evil doer is going to be friendly to you that would make them good and they have a place in Paradise. Anyone can be friendly even Satan, and serial killers, so it means nothing, and this is WHY its so good that God is testing people his way, because it shows who is good and who isn't by what they accept or not.

What if a Prophet came into this world?? God himself sends the Prophets, which shows that he believes that is enough to tell people to repent, and if they don't as per the Quran they reject the "truth". So if a Prophet came;-

1. They could never say to the Prophet Lut peace be upon him, that because the homosexuals are being nice to them, that the Prophet should not be telling the homosexuals that they would be going to Hell if they do not repent, cause its not a very nice thing to say.

2. They could not say to Prophet Noah peace be upon him that people are innocent, and just do not understand, or have not seen the truth. As even from God, this is enough. It is no different to those children who go to school and squander their education, when they are older they say if I had this support, or I wish I knew this, then I would have learnt-it is the fact that they chose to LISTEN that has changed and not about extra support etc. This is why even the evil doers would have wished that they thought more of accepting Islam then wasting the time away for the lust of this world.

3. They could not say to a Prophet, you don't understand people, and you shouldn't be telling people to repent and worship God, remember the Day of Judgement, Paradise and Hell ALL IN THE first day of them telling the message.

God has taken the souls of people who were in a state of taking drugs, alcohol, whilst there are many people who simply like to say that people don't know, then are they saying that God shouldn't be sending these people to Hell?? They are saying that people do not know the truth, but God has taken the souls of people last week, month (who were in a similar situation) etc-so are they saying that they didn't know either??

God is ALL-MERCIFUL, for God to send someone to Hell is a very, very, very, very good reason, and people are underestimating what God has already provided people in this world, and frankly if people are good enough to stand on the Day of Judgement and be judged by GOD HIMSELF, then I will never simply treat them as if they just don't know the truth (and there is never any need in treating people as if they have never seen a natural disaster, heard that there is one God, the Day of Judgement, Paradise and Hell).

When God sent a Prophet to the people he didn't say to the Prophets;-

1. Don't bother telling the sinners to repent if they are nice to you,

2. If a person is depressed, have illnesses, then there is no need to warn them, as they may not think its nice,

3. If there is a person vouchsafing (when they will never stand for them on the Day of Judgement) for their homosexual friends, then you should just accept it and walk away,

4. If Satan wishes to be friendly, and give you lots of gifts, and huge palaces then do take him as a comrade.

5. If there are people who are being friendly to you, and not accepting the message that there is only one God, the Day of Judgement, Paradise and Hell then it doesn't matter.

God has already given us the criteria of what he is going to judge us by on the Day of Judgement-God is not going to surprise us on that Day, as what we do in this world effects our life for eternity (so thankfully he has already given us the warning). I don't need to go to heaven to say that prostitute is going to Hell if she doesn't repent-as God has already given us our laws-and by what people accept or don't accept-already shows what is in their hearts is NOT A GOOD THING!

They are changing the definitions of what is good, to suit people in their unreligious lifestyle ie;-

1. Saying to those who die without accepting the one God, the Day of Judgement, Paradise and Hell, that they are going to Heaven.

2. Just because someone is ill (and there is no need to talk to religious people as if we have never been ill, had any problems etc), doesn't mean that we cannot forbid evil and enjoin what is good, it doesn't exempt them from hearing of the truth that Allah has given, just because they may not think it is nice.
There is no friendship that extends that far that people would refuse to talk about the truth, and oppose evil and enjoin what is good. Even the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him's uncle helped him, but he is one of the owners of the Hell-fire. Even there was an individual who was fighting in the side of the Muslims well, but committed suicide, and is an owner of the Hell fire. We Muslims are true to our faith and do not wish, nor ask for anyone to look to valuing their friendship with each other rather then looking towards God, the Creator of the Universe. We are not going to treat people as if they have tomorrow as you don't know when you will be leaving this world, so its always best to speak the truth, give the message that the Muslims have from God that we value instead of being focused on how people are going to be treating you. We belong to him, and to him we are returning.
